Description
As with the front and rear S-TAI bumpers, extensive real-world testing was conducted to pursue a shape that delivers optimal airflow management. The component is made from FRP.
It was developed through repeatedly on-track testing with a Super Taikyu race car.
By controlling the airflow around the front wheel housings, it reduces the amount of air that hits the rear tires directly, thereby reducing drag. In addition, by reducing the amount of air that flows under the vehicle from the sides, the aerodynamic performance of the front bumper and diffuser is maximized, enhancing overall handling stability.
