Paired with Honda’s signature red valve cover, it not only set the Type R apart, but also reminded owners of its rich racing history. Unfortunately for the FL5, an exclusive oil cap is no longer offered, coming instead with a base model plastic cap that is prone to cracking under high heat and vibrations.
ALPLUS has reinvented the Type R oil cap for the modern era, capturing Honda’s enduring passion and heritage. The design pays homage to the original with precisely crafted Grade 5 Titanium, achieving its iconic shape. The engine’s performance capabilities are prominently displayed, a testament to the engineering marvel that Honda has created. The inclusion of a Honda OEM Oil Filler Gasket ensures a perfect seal, promising durability and reliability for years to come.
This oil cap is available in 4 different designs; FK8 specifications, FL5 specifications, DE5 specifications or a classic designed, inspired by the iconic EK9 Type R’s oil filler cap. Despite not having a specific design, this cap will fit the FK2 Type R without problem.
